Pot Found on Man Being Jailed for a Serious Assault

Winneshiek County authorities have arrested a Decorah man on illegal drug and assault charges.

At about 10pm Wednesday (Jan. 15), deputies took 40 year old Francis Chloupek into custody.

Chloupek was initially arrested for 2nd Offense Domestic Abuse Assault, a serious misdemeanor.

Then while being booked into jail, marijuana was found in his possession. Chloupek was then charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Marijuana.
