Postville Woman, Waterloo Man Arrested in Traffic Stop
A traffic stop in Fayette County has resulted in charges filed against a Postville woman and a Waterloo man, some involving illegal drugs.
On Saturday (Jan. 25), a Fayette County deputy pulled over a vehicle near the intersection of "T" Avenue and 100th Street, just northeast of Westgate.
An initial investigation determined that the driver, 44 year old Teresa Forbes of Postville, was driving while her license was revoked. She was also charged with Providing False Information to Law Enforcement, No "SR" on File, No Proof of Insurance, Driving While Revoked, and Possession of Prescription Pills without a Prescription.
Her passenger, 53 year old Donald Johll of Waterloo, was wanted on a Fayette County warrant for Failure to Appear on a Trespass Charge.
The next day, Sunday, authorities executed a search warrant on Forbes' vehicle, finding controlled substances and drug paraphernalia.
The case is still under investigation, and more charges are pending.
