Political Sign Thefts in Waukon Under Investigation

Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding the suspects who stole several political yard signs in Waukon.

According to the Waukon Police Department, a group of people apparently took signs for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, from Waukon yards on Monday, August 31st, and Tuesday, September 1st.

The act was caught on surveillance camera. The photo shows a person dressed in a hat, t-shirt, and shorts, running to a car, with a sign in their hand.

The car is described as a four-door sedan, possibly a 2005 Chrysler Sebring. At least one other person was inside the vehicle.

If anyone has information on the thefts, they are asked to call the Waukon Police Department.
