Northeast Iowa authorities are asking the public for help, in the investigation of an apparent armed robbery in Postville.


The incident happened at about 10am on October 3rd in the town of Postville.
The victim told area law enforcement that the robbery involved someone driving a two-door, gray or silver Dodge Neon or Stratus. The victim also noted that the suspect's vehicle had boxes in the back seat, and items full in the back window.

The driver was described as a black male, 5'4 to 5'6, in his early 30's.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Postville Police Department or Allamakee County Sheriff's Office.

The Postville Police Chief is warning area motorists, that if they see a vehicle pull out in front of you, and try to stop your vehicle, you should put your vehicle in reverse to get away.

Also, lock your car doors and call 911. DON'T communicate with the suspect.
