Police Make Arrests on Sex Abuse and Disorderly Conduct

An Oelwein man has been arrested on a sex abuse charge.

Shortly after 2pm Monday (June 4), Oelwein Police officers took 39 year old Travis Leftwich into custody on a Felony Bench warrant for a Parole Violation. The original charge was Sexual Abuse of an Acquaintance.

Oelwein Police were called out to a disturbance report at around 4pm Tuesday (June 5) in the 10 block of 1st Avenue NE, for a reported disturbance. When officers arrived, they arrested 27 year old Ashley Schoonover of Carbondale, Illinois. She is charged with Disorderly Conduct.
