Police Look into Vandalism, Make Stop for License

Oelwein Police are investigating some vandalism.

A criminal mischief incident was reported to police at about 8:45am Sunday (April 8), from the 10 block of 6th Avenue SE. No other information was released.

An Oelwein man is being cited for a driving infraction. Just before 1pm Sunday, Oelwein Police Officers pulled over a car at the intersection of 3rd Street NE and 5th Avenue NE.

The driver, 38 year old James Meike, was given a citation for Driving While License is Suspended, plus given an Equipment Repair Order for having a faulty brake lamp on the car.
