Police Cite 2 Local Dog Owners for Violations

An Oelwein woman has been cited for having a loud dog on the northwest side of town.

At about 4am today (Jan. 8), Oelwein Police received a report of a barking dog in the 10 block of 5th Street NW. The owner, 52 year old Amanda James, was cited for Keeping Bothersome Animals.

In another dog-related case, at about 1pm Sunday (Jan. 6), Oelwein Police were called to the 400 block of 4th Avenue SE for a loose dog. The owner, 46 year old Randall Meike of Oelwein was given a citation for Allowing a Dog to Run At Large.
