CHARLES CITY, Iowa (AP) — A plea change hearing has been scheduled for a Charles City man accused in a scheme that authorities say involved false reports of stolen or lost credit cards.

The hearing is set April 6 for 33-year-old Matthew Kirsch. He's already pleaded not guilty to a felony count of ongoing criminal conduct, as well as several felony and misdemeanor counts of forgery.

Authorities say that between March 7 and May 1 last year, Kirsch and an accomplice would report a credit card as stolen or lost. Authorities say Kirsch would have his accomplice activate the replacement card, and Kirsch then would use it to withdraw money from cash machines and share the money with his accomplice.
