Plainfield Motorist Charged in 2 Pickup Accident

A Plainfield motorist is being charged with causing an accident in rural Fayette County.

It happened at about 8:30pm Monday, at the intersection of "L" Avenue and 60th Street, northeast of Oelwein.

A northbound pickup driven by 22 year old Jacob West of Fayette, was struck by an eastbound pickup driven by 32 year old Birdsie Robinson of Plainfield. Both trucks ended up in the ditch, and were totaled. No one was injured.

Robinson is charged with failure to yield to the vehicle on the right.

The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted by the Oelwein Fire Department and Oelwein Ambulance.
