A rollover accident in Fayette County has put an Illinois resident in the hospital.


It happened just after 7pm Friday, on Harding Road, near Clermont.

A pickup driven by 20 year old Amanda Coleman of Roscoe, Illinois, went out of control and entered a ditch. The car rolled four times, coming to rest on the driver's side.

Coleman was taken to the West Union hospital to be treated for minor injuries. The car was totaled.

The Fayette County Sheriff was assisted at the scene by the Clermont Ambulance and Fire Department.

The Fayette County Sheriff was also called to a two vehicle accident Saturday afternoon, at the intersection of Town Road and 100th Street, near Westgate.

A car, driven by 56 year old Ronnie Kelly of Maynard, was attempting to pass an SUV driven by 32 year old Shane Beatty of Independence, when Beatty made a left turn, and the two collided.

No one was injured, but there was $2,000 damage to Kelly's car, and $5,000 damage to Beatty's SUV.

Kelly was charged with unsafe passing.
