Pickup Damaged in NE Iowa After Striking Deer

A young northeast Iowa driver escaped injury, but his vehicle was damaged when it collided with a deer.

The accident happened just after 6am Thursday (June 29), on County Road W-14, south of C-33, in Maynard. A southbound pickup driven by 19 year old Logan Blue of Hawkeye struck a deer that was crossing the road.

No one was injured, but the 2001 Chevy Silverado pickup had $1,500 in damages.
