Pedestrian Hurt in Calmar Accident

The Winneshiek County Sheriff is investigating an accident involving a pedestrian, that happened earlier this week.

Just before 10:30pm Monday (Oct. 1), authorities received a report of an accident on Maryville Street in Calmar, involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, whose name was not released, was initially taken to the Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah; the person was later transferred to Gunderson Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. A condition report was not available.

No other details have been released; the accident remains under investigation.
