Pedestrian Dies in Clayton County Accident

Authorities have not yet released the name of a pedestrian who was killed in an accident in Monona.
It happened just before 5:30pm Tuesday (Dec. 13), west of U.S. Highway 18, and Falcon Avenue.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, a westbound car driven by 36 year old Abraham Cordero-Alvarado of Postville, struck a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the road.

The pedestrian was taken to an area hospital, but was pronounced dead. The name of the person is being withheld until relatives can be notified.

The State Patrol was assisted by the Clayton County Sheriff, Monona Police, MarMac Police, Monona Fire, and MFL Ambulance.
