Who is Paul Bunyan?
There are all sorts of stories about who Paul Bunyan is, but the main premise is that he's a huge lumberjack with a blue ox named Babe.
Stories that I've heard are that his feet made all of the lakes in Minnesota. But there are also stories of him in California, Maine, and many other states.

He's been a pop culture icon for years, and there have been plenty of children's adaptations of who Paul Bunyan is.
Whatever the story, everyone seems to enjoy hearing about Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox. So much so that we have tons of statues of Paul (and sometimes Babe) all around Minnesota.
Where to Find Paul Bunyan in Minnesota
The first Paul Bunyan in Minnesota can be found in Bemidji. Babe is included in this one, and they were built in 1937.
Not only is this the oldest, it's also the most well-known.
Then you've got a talking Paul in Brainerd.
He even knows your kids' names! The statue is part of Paul Bunyan Land.
Akeley also has their own Paul, but he's kneeling with a hand outstretched so you can sit in his hand for a photo-op.
He's also the world's largest Paul Bunyan statue at 60 feet tall.
And in Hackensack, there are people saying that you can find a smaller Paul Bunyan, but the main attraction here is actually Paul's sweetheart, Lucette.
These are some of the biggest and most well-known Paul statues (plus Lucette), but there are so many more! Plus, there are some spots with items that are Paul's, like his fishing bobber (Pequot Lakes' water tower) and his chair (also in Pequot Lakes).
