Patrol Looking into Fatal Benton Co. Crash

The Iowa State Patrol continues to investigate a deadly accident in Benton County.

It happened at about 2pm Wednesday on 77th Street, west of Norway, Iowa in rural Benton County.

39 year old Robert Clark of Watkins was eastbound in an SUV, when for an unknown reason, he crashed head-on into a car driven by 21 year old Dakota Schorg of Blairstown.

Schorg was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, but died from his injuries.
Clark was also taken to St. Lukes to be treated for unknown injuries.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Benton County Sheriff, Norway Fire/Rescue, Belle Plaine EMS, and Blairstown Fire/EMS.

The accident remains under investigation.
