Authorities are withholding the name of a person killed when a tractor went into a ditch and rolled in rural Mitchell County.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, it happened at about 8pm Wednesday (June 30) on State Line Road, West of Dancer Avenue, southwest of Lyle, Minnesota.

Officers did determine that the tractor was westbound on State Line Road, when it went out of control, entered the ditch, and rolled, killing the driver.

The name of the operator is being withheld until relatives can be notified.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office and EMS, the Mower County, Minnesota Sheriff, and Lyle, Minnesota Fire Department.
