A Northeast Iowa man faces a laundry list of charges, after leading authorities in a chase, slamming into a squad car, and sending an officer to the hospital.

The incident began at about 11:20pm Monday (Nov. 25), when a Fayette County Sheriff's deputy attempted to stop a vehicle in the 600 block of Highway 150 South in Oelwein. The driver, later identified as 26 year old Blayze Harding of Oelwein, refused to pull over, and a chase ensued.

After the collision, Harding was taken into custody; a passenger in his vehicle was not hurt.

He is being charged with: Driving while Barred, Eluding, Possession of Methamphetamine 3rd offense, and Possession of Marijuana 3rd Offense.

The case remains under investigation, and more charges could be filed.
