
Oelwein Residents Arrested on Assault Charges
Oelwein Police have arrested 2 local residents following a weekend incident.
Just before 3am Sunday (July 23), officers were called to a disturbance in the 10 block of 3rd Street NW in Oelwein. At the time, the issues were resolved.

However, police were called back to a 2nd disturbance, in the 100 block of 3rd Avenue SE. This time, 19 year old Isiah Heidt of Oelwein was taken into custody on charges of Assault-Simple Misdemeanor, and Assault Causing Injury-Serious Misdemeanor.
About a half hour later, just before 3:30am, 18 year old Alexis Heidt of Oelwein was taken into custody on a Dubuque County warrant, on an original charge of Assault Causing Willful Injury.
