Oelwein Police Respond to Theft, Burglary, Vandalism

The Oelwein Police Department is investigating a burglary, a theft, and some vandalism.

The first incident was reported just before 9am Thursday (April 25); a break-in was called in to police in the 10 block of 6th Street SW. No other information was released.

About a half hour later, officers were called to a criminal mischief incident in the 100 block of 1st Street SW.

And at 4:30pm Thursday, Oelwein Police responded to report of a theft on South Frederick Avenue.

All of the incidents remain under investigation.
