
Oelwein Police Respond to Accident at Kwik Star
Oelwein Police were called out to a traffic accident last night (Wednesday, March 3).
Shortly after 7pm, officers responded to the report of an accident at the Kwik Star convenience store at the intersection of Highways 3 and 150. A car driven by Sherry Meike collided with a car driven by Curtis Horstmeier. No injuries were reported.

A local woman has been cited following a traffic stop. Police pulled over a vehicle shortly after 5:30pm Wednesday in the 10 block of 1st Street SE in Oelwein. The driver, 38 year old Lynn Anne Nuehring of Oelwein, was given a citation for driving while barred, and not having insurance.
And Oelwein Police were notified Wednesday afternoon, of a theft in the 10 block of 1st Street SE. The incident is under investigation.
