Oelwein Police Report Theft, Vandalism, and OWI

Oelwein Police report a weekend arrest after a traffic stop, and investigations of a vandalism and a theft.

Just before 1pm Saturday (March 30), Oelwein officers pulled over a vehicle in the 200 block of 5th Avenue SW. The driver, 22 year old Joseph Wolfe of Oelwein was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated.

On Friday, shortly before 5pm, Oelwein Police were notified of a theft in the 10 block of North Frederick Avenue.

Also on Friday, shortly after 1:30pm, police received a report of criminal mischief in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue SE.

Those incidents remain under investigation.
