Oelwein Police Report, Saturday June 13, 2015

The Oelwein Police Department was active on Friday June 12^th.  Before the weekend was able to get rolling the officers were responding. At 11:48 AM on June 12, 2015 Oelwein Police Arrested Derrick Tyler Wilson, 24, of Oelwein. Wilson was arrested on a charge of Theft in the 5^th Degree-Simple Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a disturbance was reported in the 1300 block of South Frederick.

The Oelwein Police served citations to area residents on Friday too.  First citation was served to Colton Royce Eickoff, 24, Of Oelwein, for Failure to Abate a Nuisance at 605 1^st AV NE.  The second citation was issued to Nikolette Faye Rubendall, 35, Of Oelwein, for Failure to Abate a Nuisance at 124 4^th AV NE.

Oelwein police investigating a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy 150 South and 1^st ST SE at 9:14 AM on June 10^th, 2015. A Red 2001 Mercury Villager driven by Nicole Doty collided with a Blue 2000 Honda CRV driven By Bonnie Bettendorf. Initial estimates of damage were $1,500.00 to the vehicle driven by Doty and $800 to the vehicle driven by Westendorf.  Doty was cited for Turning from an Improper Lane.
