Oelwein Police Report Recent Arrests

Oelwein Police have arrested a local man on multiple charges, after being called out to a disturbance.

It happened at about 2:15pm Tuesday (Oct. 22), when officers responded to the 10 block of 2nd Street NW. 33 year old Nathan Kirby of Oelwein was taken into custody for Domestic Abuse Assault-3rd Offense, Public Intoxication-3rd Offense, Disorderly Conduct, and Interference with Official Acts.

Oelwein Officers arrested a Texas woman for an outstanding warrant. 50 year old Laura Delapaz of Magnolia, Texas, was taken into custody in the 800 block of 1st Avenue NW in Oelwein for a Texas warrant for a Probation Violation; the original charge was Possession of a Controlled Substance.

A local man was arrested Friday afternoon on a Probation Violation warrant. 28 year old Sean Reisner of Oelwein was originally charged with Driving While Barred. Reisner turned himself in at the Oelwein Police Department.

Oelwein Police officers served arrest warrants in the 500 block of 5th Avenue SE, arresting a local man. 36 year old Justin Buehler was arrested for Fayette County Sheriff's warrants for 2 counts of Controlled Substance Violations and 1 count of Domestic Assault Abuse.

And Oelwein Police are investigating a theft and a burglary. The incidents were reported Saturday night. The theft was in the 300 block of 8th Avenue SE, and the break-in happened in the 400 block of North Frederick.
