Oelwein Police Report Recent Arrests

Oelwein Police have filed charges against a local man following a traffic accident Monday evening (Sept. 23).

At about 5:30pm, officers were called to the accident in the 10 block of 1st Avenue NE. No injuries were reported, and it was not known if another vehicle was involved. The driver, 46 year old Jeffrey Schuler of Oelwein was arrested for OWI-1st Offense.

A Waterloo man was cited by Oelwein Police during a traffic stop early Monday at the intersection of Highway 150 and 12th Street SE. The driver, 23 year old Clayton Bushaw of Waterloo, was given a citation for Driving While his License is suspended, and an equipment repair order to fix a brake light.

Oelwein Police were called to two separate theft incidents Sunday afternoon. They were located in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue SE, and the 10 block of 1st Avenue SE. Both thefts are under investigation.
