Oelwein Police Report on Holiday Weekend

The Oelwein Police Department is investigating a break-in. The burglary was reported at about 11am Sunday, from the 20 block of 3rd Avenue NE. No other information was released.

An Oelwein man, 33 year old John Dison Jr., was taken into custody at about noon Sunday, on a charge of violation of a no-contact order. The arrest was made after an investigation of the violation of a domestic abuse no-contact order.

Oelwein police arrested 30 year old Michael Pickens of Elk Run Heights Saturday evening, on a Black Hawk County warrant; the original charge was 2nd degree theft.

36 year old Todd McCloud of Oelwein was taken into custody Saturday night, for disorderly conduct. The arrest was made after an investigation into a disturbance in the 100 block of West Charles. More charges are pending.

And late Friday night, Oelwein officers stopped a vehicle driven by 49 year old J.P. Williams Jr. of Oelwein. He was arrested for driving while his license is revoked.
