Oelwein Police Make Arrests on Warrants for Theft and Fraud
An Oelwein man has been arrested on an outstanding warrant.
Shortly after 2:30pm Thursday (July 4), after an interaction with an officer in the 600 block of 1st Avenue NE, 62 year old David Latham was taken into custody for a Fayette County warrant; the original charge was Fraudulent Practices.
An Oelwein woman was taken into custody at about 2am Friday, after a traffic stop in the 200 block of West Charles. 28 year old Stephanie Lane was arrested for Driving while her License is Revoked.
A Fayette woman was arrested by Oelwein Police on 2 Fayette County warrants. 31 year old Elizabeth Schmidtke was taken into custody during a traffic stop at about 3am Saturday in the 10 block of 5th Avenue NW. The warrants were for Theft-5th Degree, and Failure to Appear in court on the original theft charge.
And Oelwein Police are investigating 2 theft incidents. They were reported at about 12:45pm and just after 11pm on Sunday. The locations were the 200 block of 3rd Avenue NW, and the 10 block of South Frederick. No other information was released.
