Oelwein Police Make Arrests, Investigations…

The Oelwein Police Department is investigating a theft and some vandalism, and has also made some recent arrests.

On Sunday (Nov. 5) at about 5:30pm, 30 year old Andrew Heath of Oelwein was taken into custody for Domestic Abuse Assault, following an incident in the 200 block of 1st Avenue NW.

At around 8:30pm Sunday, during a traffic stop in the 500 block of West Charles, officers cited 46 year old James Meeker of Independence for Driving While his License is Suspended.

Around 12:45am Sunday, 24 year old Skuyler Ellington of Oelwein was arrested for Criminal Mischief-4th Degree, Assault, and Public Intoxication, after an incident in the 100 block of South Frederick.

The theft complaint was called in to police just before 11am Saturday (Nov. 4) from the 10 block of 8th Avenue NE.

And a criminal mischief complaint was received early Sunday from the 10 block of East Charles.
