Oelwein Police Make Arrests for Burglary and Drugs
Oelwein Police have arrested a local man for a warrant concerning an alleged break-in.
At about 5pm Monday (May 13) police officers were alerted of an incident in the 300 block of Highway 150 South in Oelwein. After the investigation, 20 year old Jowayne Phillips of Oelwein was taken into custody on a Polk County warrant. The original charges were Failure to Appear for a Probation Hearing for Possession of Burglary Tools, and Burglary 3rd Degree.
A Jesup man was arrested in Oelwein early Sunday, following a traffic stop. Officers pulled over a car at about 3:45am Sunday in the 10 block of 3rd Street SE. The driver, 41 year old Justin Krusemark of Jesup, was taken into custody for Driving While Suspended, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
