An Oelwein man has been arrested on a warrant involving a burglary charge.

Shortly after 8pm Wednesday (Oct. 16), Oelwein Police took 19 year old Brandon Fox into custody, following an incident in the 400 block of 6th Street NE. Fox was wanted on a Fayette County warrant for Violation of Pretrial Supervision; the original charges were Burglary 3rd Degree, and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree.

In a separate incident, Oelwein Police arrested 50 year old Kenneth Thornton of Oelwein following an incident in the 500 block of North Frederick Avenue, at about 4:45pm Wednesday. Thornton was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault.

And officers were called just after 1:30pm Wednesday to the 10 block of 3rd Street NE on the report of a theft. No other details were available. It remains under investigation.
