Oelwein Police Make Arrests and Issue Citations

An Oelwein man has been arrested on burglary and drug charges. Oelwein police were called out shortly after 11am Sunday to a disturbance in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue NE.

After looking into the matter, 20 year old Dalton Veber was taken into custody for burglary 3rd degree and possession of a controlled substance.

Following a disturbance investigation shortly after 4:30am this (Monday) morning, an Oelwein man was taken into custody. Oelwein police responded to the report in the 1,000 block of South Frederick. As a result, 31 year old Zachary Penning was arrested for a violation of a no-contact order.

4 area people have been cited for underage alcohol possession. Just after midnight Sunday, Oelwein police were called to a noise complaint in the 700 block of 1st Avenue SE. 20 year old Ashley Ricchio, 18 year old Cassidy Connor and 19 year old Caitlin Swaney, all of Oelwein, as well as 20 year old Dalton Lenz of Stanley, were issued citations.
