Oelwein Police Looking into Vandalism Incidents

Several incidents of vandalism in Oelwein are being investigated by the Oelwein Police Department.

Officers were called out four times Thursday (June 20)on reports of criminal mischief.

The first report came in at about 8:30am, from the 400 block of 7th Avenue SE.

Almost an hour later, officers went to the 10 block of West Charles.

Then, at about 12:30pm, police responded to another vandalism report in the 300 block of West Charles.

The fourth report of criminal mischief was from the 200 block of 3rd Avenue NW in Oelwein, at about 3pm.

No other information was released. All of the incidents remain under investigation.
