A citizen turned in the money to the Oelwein Police Department, on the afternoon of January 25th of 2021. The owner has not yet been found.

The owner of the cash in question, may claim their property by contacting the Oelwein Police Department (319-283-4311) and describing the exact amount of money they lost, what are the denominations, what the money was contained in, and where they may have lost it.

The owner has until April 30th of 2021 to claim their property.

The department also has several other items that have been turned in to their office. Those items may be claimed at the Oelwein Police Department by correctly identifying the object.
