Oelwein Police Look Into Accident, Incident, and Thefts…

Oelwein Police were called out early this morning (Aug. 24) to investigate a two-vehicle accident.

It happened in the 300 block of 7th Avenue NW, shortly after midnight. A car driven by Parnell Williams, collided with a van driven by Deloris Richardson. No injuries were reported.

A teenager has been arrested for an incident on the southeast side of Oelwein. Shortly after 2pm Wednesday, Oelwein police arrested a 13 year old boy from Oelwein, charging him with Disorderly Conduct; he was referred to Juvenile Court Services.

2 thefts in Oelwein are under investigation. The first was reported at about 12:30pm Wednesday, from the 100 block of 6th Avenue SE. The other was reported just before 4pm from the 100 block of 3rd Avenue NW. No other information was released.
