Oelwein Police Issue Citations for Driving Violations

Oelwein Police have cited a local resident with a couple of traffic violations.

At just before midnight last night (April 21), officers pulled over a vehicle in the 400 block of 1st Avenue NW. The driver, 19 year old Brittany Lewin of Oelwein, was cited for Driving While her License is Suspended, and an Equipment Repair Order for a Headlamp.

And at about 10:30pm Saturday, Oelwein Police stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of East Charles. The driver, 42 year old Charlene Smith of Independence, was given citations for Driving While her License is Suspended, and issued a written warning for Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device.
