Oelwein Police Investigate Stolen Vehicle, Burglary, Theft and Vandalism
Oelwein Police were called out Friday morning (Oct. 19) on the report of a stolen vehicle.
The report was made at about 7:30am Friday, that a white, 2002 Mercury Sable was stolen from the 100 block of 8th Avenue NW. The vehicle was later located and returned to the owner.
A Hawkeye man was cited, then released, after being pulled over in Oelwein late Sunday night. Police stopped a vehicle driven by 23 year old Jonathan Eichelberger in the 100 block of 1st Avenue SE. Following the investigation, Eichelberger was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. A female juvenile in the vehicle was referred to Juvenile Court Services on the same charge.
Oelwein Police are investigating a theft, a burglary and vandalism, all reported Sunday morning. The theft was in the 100 block of 1st Avenue SE; the break-in occurred in the 300 block of North Frederick; and the Criminal Mischief incident was in the 400 block of South Frederick. No other information was released.
