Oelwein Police Investigate Accident and Burglary

A Sumner motorist is being charged with causing a two-vehicle accident in Oelwein.

It happened at about 7pm Monday in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue SE. A car driven by 21 year old Santana Holbach, failed to yield at an intersection, and collided with a pickup driven by 26 year old Michael Godwin of Oelwein.
No injuries were reported, but there was a total of $3,000 in damage to the two vehicles.
Holbach is charged with failure to yield.

Oelwein police are investigating a burglary. The break-in was reported at about 2:30pm Sunday from the 100 block of 1st Avenue SW in Oelwein.
No other information was released.
