Oelwein Police Check Into New Year’s Eve Burglary

The Oelwein Police Department is investigating a New Year's Eve burglary.

The break-in was reported at about 7:30pm Sunday (Dec. 31), from the 600 block of 7th Avenue NE. No other details were given.

A local woman has been arrested for allegedly driving while under the influence. Just after 2:30am Saturday (Dec. 30), during a traffic stop in the 900 block of North Frederick Avenue in Oelwein, officers arrested 56 year old Jolene Cole of Oelwein, on a charge of OWI-1st Offense.
