Oelwein Police Busy with Weekend Investigations

The Oelwein Police Department is investigating some vandalism, a theft, and a burglary.

All three incidents were reported Saturday (March 26).

The criminal mischief occurred in the 100 block of 3rd Avenue SE.

Officers were later called to the 100 block of 2nd Street SE on the report of a theft.

And the burglary occurred in the 100 block of 1st Street SW. No other information was released, and Oelwein Police continue to investigate.

Officers also arrested an Oelwein woman, 31 year old Sandra McMurrin, for Disorderly Conduct and Interference with Official Acts. McMurrin was taken into custody Friday afternoon following an incident in the 100 block 5th Avenue NE.
