Oelwein Police Arrest Local Woman for Drugs

A traffic stop in Oelwein has resulted in the arrest of a local woman, on drug charges.

At about 11am Monday (July 8), Oelwein Police pulled over a vehicle in the 300 block of 8th Street SW. After an investigation, the driver, 35 year old Karol Nicole Scarberry of Oelwein, was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

And Oelwein Police are looking into the report of a theft. The incident was called in to police just after 4pm Monday; the incident reportedly happened in the 100 block of 1st Avenue SW. No other information was released.
