
Oelwein Police Arrest Local Man on Driving Violation
Oelwein Police have arrested a local man following a traffic stop early this morning (Thursday, Aug. 22).
Shortly after 2am, officers pulled over a car in the 200 block of 2nd Street NW. The driver, 34 year old Adam Nielsen of Oelwein was charged with Driving While his License is Revoked.
And a Nebraska man was arrested in Oelwein Wednesday night on an outstanding warrant. After an incident in the 800 block of 1st Avenue SW at about 9:30pm, 46 year old Thaddeus Higginbotham of David City, Nebraska, was taken into custody on a Platte County Nebraska warrant on the original charge of 10 counts of Criminal Nonsupport.
