Oelwein Police Arrest 2 From Hazleton After Stop

Oelwein Police have arrested two Hazleton residents on drug and other charges, after a traffic stop early today (April 19).

Just before 12:30am, officers pulled over a vehicle in the 200 block of South Frederick in Oelwein. The driver, 53 year old Larry Shannon, was arrested for Driving While Barred, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

A passenger, 30 year old Mellony Harris, was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Meth, Possession of Paraphernalia, and cited for Allowing an Unauthorized Person to Drive.
