Oelwein Man Charged After Driving to the County Jail
An Oelwein man was being held in the Fayette County jail for not having a proper driver's license, and also violating the state sex offender registry.
On Wednesday (June 30) at about 6:30pm, 34 year old Anthony Peter drove to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, where authorities found that he had a suspended driver's license.

Peter was taken into custody for Driving While Suspended.
Peter was also charged with Failure to Comply with the Sex Offender Registry-2nd Offense.
He was taken into custody and held until his initial court appearance.
