
Oelwein Man Busted for Meth, Another Man for OWI
Authorities have arrested a local man on illegal drug charges.
At about 8:30pm Sunday (Oct. 15), Oelwein Police officers executed a search warrant at a home in the 100 block of Lincoln Drive NE. After the search, 23 year old Jacob Snay of Oelwein was taken into custody on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The investigation continues and more charges are possible.
Oelwein Police were called out at about 8pm Sunday on the report of a possible impaired driver, leaving the area of the 700 block of South Frederick Avenue. The vehicle was located in the 10 block of West Charles. After a field sobriety test, 58 year old Jerry Ball of Aurora, Colorado was arrested for OWI-1st Offense.
