Oelwein Man Arrested for Stalking
An Oelwein man has been arrested for allegedly stalking another person.
The Fayette County Sheriff's Office reports, that on Tuesday (Sept. 22), a deputy took 35 year old Kaben Schmelzer into custody, on a valid warrant for the charge of Stalking.
Schmelzer had previously been arrested last Sunday (Sept. 20) for violating a no-contact order, plus driving with a suspended license, near the city of Fayette.
For the stalking charge, Schmelzer was held in the Fayette County jail on a $5,000 bond.
