Oelwein Incident Results in Assault Charge Against Local Man

An Oelwein man has been arrested on an assault charge.

Late Thursday night (Jan. 3), just before 12 midnight, Oelwein Police were called to an incident in the 900 block of 1st Street NW.

After an investigation, 29 year old Kasey Burns was arrested on a charge of Assault Causing Serious Injury, which is a Class "D" Felony.

No other details on the incident were available.
