Oelwein Homecoming 2017 has the town in motion.  Thursday night the parade was a huge success.  Frederick Avenue had patrons scoping out their seats before 5:30.  Oelwein streets were packed with scores of Purple and Yellow by the time the homecoming parade started at 7:30pm.

Thanks to the area Fire Departments, EMS, Ambulance crews and businesses for showcasing all of the Oelwein teams from the middle school to the high school, from cross country to volleyball to band to cheerleaders and of course our football players.

Congrats to the 2017 Homecoming King Sayer Woodson.  Queen will be crowned Friday night.

Tailgate Friday night with Dollars for Scholars at the Oelwein Bus Barn starting at 4:30.  Ribeye Steak Sandwiches, grilled by the Fayette County Cattleman, along with side, dessert and drink for only $8.

Game kicks off at 7:30pm against the Cascade Cougars and if you can't make the game you can tune in to KOEL AM 950 for the play by play action.
