Services for a Hawkeye resident, 86 year old Lawrence Earl Downs, will be held at 11am on Saturday, December 19th, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sumner. Interment will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery in rural Hawkeye. Friends may call from 9:30am until service time at the churhc on Saturday. Becker-Milnes Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Services for a West Union woman, 79 year old Ruth Werhan will be held at 11am on Monday, December 21st, at S.K. Rogers & Burnham-Wood Funeral Home in West Union with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in West Union Cemetery.

Services for a West Union resident, 93 year old Louis "Louie" Herman Langreck, will be held at 10:30am on Wednesday, December 23rd, at St. Luke Catholic CHurch in St. Lucas. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A public visitation will be held from 4pm until 6pm on Tuesday, December 22nd at the church with a rosary at 4pm.

An Osage resident, 85 year old Marvin Paul Pitzen, died unexpectly on Thursday, December 17th. As per his wishes, private family in burial services will be held at a later date.

A Lansing man, 59 year old Mark O'Malley, died on Wednesday, December 16th. Arrangements are pending with Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home in Lansing.

A West Union woman, 73 year old Vickie Meyer, died December 17th at her home. Arrangements are pending with Schutte-Grau Funeral Home in Clermont.

Services for a Riceville resident, 84 year old Esther Bernice Moore, will be held on Monday, December 21st at the Christian Missionary Church in Osage at 10:30am. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery i Riceville. Friends may call at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville on Sunday during the hours of 5-7pm and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
