Thousands of bicyclists and their support people are descending on Northeast Iowa today and tomorrow, wrapping up this year's Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, or RAGBRAI.

Yesterday (Thursday, July 27), cyclists traveled from Charles City through Ionia, New Hampton, Lawler, Protivin, then spent the night in Cresco.

Today (Friday), the riders will pedal through Decorah, Ossian, Castalia, Postville, and end the day in Waukon.

The final day, on Saturday, has the route going to Waterville, Yellow River State Forest, Harpers Ferry, and finally ending in Lansing, where bike riders will dip their tires in the Mississippi River.

Decorah will be especially busy; besides the ten-to-twenty thousand RAGBRAI participants, it's also hosting the 51st annual Nordic Fest today and Saturday.
