Roughly 16,000 pounds of Frozen Beef Patties are now being recalled due to the possibility they may contain plastic inside the patty.

The USDA Food Safety and Inspection service have issued a recall on the Ready-To-Eat products. While the products were not sold in retail stores, they were distributed from a warehouse in Iowa to institutions, including schools.

AdvancePierre Foods, the manufacturer is concerned the product may be in some institutional freezers.

The products if concern were packed in 15.09-pound cases that contained 'CN FULLY COOKED FLAMEBROILED BEEF PATTIES,' with product code 69097, the USDA said. The recall was categorized as having a low health risk, but if you have the product, you are being urged to discard the product.
