The Fayette County Sheriff has arrested a Vinton woman, after receiving a report of a suspicious person who was trespassing at a home about 3 miles north of Clermont.

At about 4:30am Monday (June 24), deputies responded to the report of a suspicious person at a residence on Beechnut Road. After an investigation, officers determined that 34 year old Christine Woodward had allegedly attempted to gain entry into the home and take items. The sheriff also discovered that Woodward and the property owner had a Valid Order of Protection. Woodward was taken into custody on charges of Aiding and Abetting to a Violation of an Order of Protection and Attempted Burglary in the 3rd Degree. She was taken to the Fayette County Jail where she was held until her initial court appearance.

Also on Monday, at about 10:30am, the Fayette County Sheriff arrested 23 year old Paige Johanningmeier of Elgin for an outstanding warrant, for Theft in the Third Degree. Johanningmeier was held in the Fayette County jail until his initial court appearance.

And a Clermont resident was taken into custody after a traffic stop Friday morning. 39 year old Jessica Harris was arrested for Driving While her License is Revoked. Harris' license had been revoked because of a prior charge of Operating While Intoxicated.
